Ever found yourself looking up the runners who beat you in a race one at a time on http://www.thepowerof10.info/ to check their past form? Or entering likely names from an entry list to try and guess who you'll be up against? This tool lets you look up a whole list of names at once. All the actual information comes from the splendid PowerOf10 database; this just helps you find the PowerOf10 pages for many runners at once.
If you can get your data into 3 successive columns in Excel, then you can copy and paste it from there directly. If you're starting with a .pdf file, try 'Save As Text', then open the .txt file in Excel and use the text import wizard to try and break it into the required columns. Then re-order the columns. As there is no standard way of formatting entry or results lists, you're rather on your own there. One day I might try and write something that tries to identify the names and clubs in text pasted in automatically, so that you could copy and paste from website pages easily, but that would be hard.
You can abbreviate names (e.g. Radcli instead of Radcliffe) or use wildcards (useful in club names, e.g. "*Harriers"). That's just standard PowerOf10 search behaviour.
